All Night Long (Black Halo book 1) by: Madelynne Ellis

all_night_long_final-196x300Three hot guitarists…
Two people looking for love, but too afraid to admit it…
One exhilarating night…

One night of rampant passion with a rock star, that’s all it’s supposed to be. Ginny Walters isn’t looking for love, only some sexy fun with an amazingly hot guy; that is, until she hooks up with Black Halo’s lead guitarist, Ash Gore, on the night his band splits up.

Ginny discovers a side to the womanizing, bad boy that she never imagined. Beneath his hard rock image, is a man so hung up on the possibility of being hurt by love that he’s unwilling to risk becoming emotionally involved. How can she convince him that the bond between them is worth exploring, given that she’s not sure dating a rock star is terribly bright idea?

Ash can’t seem to get Ginny out of his head either. She’s totally unlike the women who fan his ego but leave him unsatisfied. Ginny sees through the media hype to the scarred man beneath. Given that Ginny understands him like no one else, is thisa one night stand he won’t be able to leave behind?

WARNING! This book was Erotic romance and it was HOT HOT HOT!

A European rock band full of hot guys that aren't afraid to get down and dirty with any girl whose willing- and the girl of the night is Ginny Walters.  After a show that might just be their last (since the lead singer just left in the middle of the act) guitarist Ash walks into his dressing room to find a gorgeous girl.   Needing to make a quick and discrete get away Ginny offers up her small hotel room as an escape.  Even though her sights are set on Ash, Ginny's up for some fun with the other guys; especially if she can find out what makes Ash tick.

I was really surprised how much I actually loved this book.  Typically I go for a bit more plot then sex but this book delivered on all kinds of fronts.  Over the course of a single evening and a lot of naughtiness you learn that even rock stars can get tired of the life and that love is never expected from what starts as a one night stand.    I was really surprised with the character Ash; it was amazing to see all sides of a person who only puts up one front.  I wanted to hug him and hit him in the same breath.  I will definitely be watching for Ms. Ellis's next book in this series and keeping a close eye on this author!

I was given a copy of this book from netgalley.com after requesting it for an honest review.  All of these words are my own and I was unpaid for my opinions.  To get to Ms. Ellis's website click on the picture above.  The picture and book description were found on Madelynne Ellis's website.  Happy reading!

Sexy and supernatural are the two best words to describe Laura Kaye's Hearts of Anemoi series.  I loved every single book in this bundle and I couldn't wait to read the next story (honestly the bags under my eyes can attest).  Laura Kaye brings world's alive and knows her characters so well there is no way not to fall in love. So though this review will be brief I do have some major thoughts to get out for each book!

North of Need- I LOVE OWEN!!!! He makes me want perpetual winter so that I can build a snowman and pray I get a man like Owen Winters (while singing the Frozen soundtrack).  He is absolutely endearing and I couldn't possibly imagine a better book to snuggle up with on a cold winter day.  Megan has a broken heart and she needs Owen almost as much as he needs her.  Igloo's and ice cream, skiing and sex-this book has it all.

West of Want- I'll admit I did NOT like Zeph in the beginning; but West of Want changed the way I looked at all the characters after chapter one.  This God of spring stole my heart and I can't imagine these story's without him.

South of Surrender- OMG I don't think that anyone is as hot as the God of Summer Chrysander Notos (even though I'm still an Owen fangirl).  However, out of all of the leading ladies in this series I have to say that I have a soft spot for Laney Summerlyn.  She is amazing, independent, and a horse lover! What's not to love about a woman who is attempting to live her life to the fullest despite the odds against her.

Basically, if your going to read the Hearts of Anemoi bundle or any of the books in this series-have time.  These things are like potato chips; you can't have just one.  I highly suggest reading these books in order as they do have a major plot line that carries over (especially West of Want on).  Thanks Laura Kaye for another AMAZING reading experience.

This review is based on my own opinions; I read for the love of it and I am unpaid for these words.  I purchased this series for my own enjoyment.  The picture and description of all the books come off Laura Kaye's website with can be found by clicking on the image.  Happy reading !

3.5 out of 4 stars

Let me start by saying that this book was wayyyy outside my comfort genre.  I am not a big cowboy person and the idea of picking up a cowboy book made me a little nervous.  Though I will say: "Thank you Cat Johnson!."  This Oklahoma Nights novel was quick, painless, sexy, and intriguing.  Now I will say that this is the first time I've read a book by Cat Johnson and there are two other novels before this one.  However, I think that this book works just as well as a stand-alone as it does in a series.  Her characters developed beautifully through the story and I was very sad to see it end at what seems to be the beginning of their relationship.

I found a few things very interesting during this novel, the main one being abuse by a woman to a man.  Typically abuse in books (or talked about in general) is a man abusing a woman but Cat Johnson shows that this is easily turned around. During the story Jace (our leading male) has a thought that he is more abused by his ex then he is by the bulls he rides; and it broke my heart!  I also found our leading lady intriguing but in a less positive way.  After being in love with the same man for what seems like her whole life; he's married to another woman and soon to be a father.  To get back at him she's decided that her useless virginity has to go; and any cowboy at the rodeo will do.

Put together by a broken car, no money, a brother/friend, and a rodeo competition Three Weeks with a Bull Rider showed me that cowboys can be sexy and this genre is not to be ignored.

I got my copy of Three Weeks with a Bull Rider by: Cat Johnson from Mamma D's personal collection.  This review is my own personal views and opinions (no payment involved).  The picture and book description were taken off of Cat Johnson's website which can be found by clicking on the hyperlink in the picture.  Happy reading!

4 of 5 Stars!

If you are looking for a good romance read that is not only sexy but will leave you thinking about the characters you just read? Caitlyn O’Leary’s debut novel, TRUSTING CHANCE, is the book.

I want to start by saying that I had not known this was Ms. O’Leary’s first book, I would have never guessed it by reading. There are so many deep emotions through this story, that I could not help but to feel with them.

Josie, a woman who for all account should be broken beyond repair, but yet she always tries to see thing light at the end of the tunnel. Josie gave up part of herself to care for her sister and make life better for them all. Being a bigger woman and having a teenage physical injury that causes her pain every day, I found her a source of inspiration. The emotional depth and strength of Josie made me stop and think just a bit. She is a warrior and survivor. The best kind of lead lady!

Chance and Sam, what can I say about them! Ok, I would not mind one bit to have this duo after me. Each of the men has endearing qualities that make you want to melt. They are different but yet the same. Chance and Sam have a bond that goes beyond brotherhood and family. Chance being a man of opportunity sees a way for them all to be happy and healed together. Chance is a man who can get what he wants.

There was not one thing I did not like about Trusting Chance. Josie’s story and strength are worth the read alone. Now when you add in the hotness that is Chance and Sam, the book goes to another level. Packed with feeling and passion, you will feel something when you are done reading.

Not only is TRUSTING CHANCE, Ms. O’Leary’s debut novel, it is the first book in the FATE HARBOR series. Fate Harbor is a small town known for their expectance of triad marriages and their men just being born hot! Read TRUSTING CHANCE and you will see what I mean!

reapers Reaper's Property

Joanna Wylde

Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

Raw, Intense and In Your Face! I loved every page!

I have always been intrigued by the biker lifestyle. Not only a way of life, it’s a brotherhood unlike any other. It can be a dark and nasty place at times, but they damn sure know how to have fun. The one percent bikers, the men that make their own laws, in my eyes are the ultimate bad boys. It’s the leather, the bikes, Alpha and beyond hard-core. I always get a bit excited when I hear that rolling thunder of a Harley.
Joanna Wylde delivered what I believe to be a true to life biker romance. This book is edgy and raw. It walks the walk just like a biker would! If you are looking for a sweet and tender read, you might want to put this book down. Now if you like the thrill of the ride and dirty talking Alpha bikers with attitude and hotness to spare, Reapers Property is the book you want!!

I truly don’t think I can say anything about the lead man of this book that has not been said. Horse is (for lack of a better term) sex on a stick. He is just what I feel an outlaw Biker should be. He’s tall, got the long hair, tattoos and eyes to make you weep. Yes, his ego is big, he can be a dick but he is a man. He can scare the crap out of you one moment and have you begging to eat from his hand the next. I loved that he is loyal and wouldn't give up on what he wanted.  Under all the leather he has a romantic side that only a biker could have.

Marie was thrown into a world that she didn't have a clue about. Trying to heal and move on from an abusive husband, she walks right into a hot mess where she has no control. Unknowing the world of a MC, Marie bites herself in the ass when it comes to Horse.   She is strong and willing to do what it takes to save her brother. When push comes to shove, Marie is one bad ass bitch! She has more guts than I could even think of having!!

Reaper’s Property was better than a whole season of Son of Anarchy. Yes, I just said that. The book is filled with non-stop action and overflowing with hotness. Again this is not a sweet romance. It’s raw, intense and walks the line. Just like those sexy bikers.
If you are a fan of those tattooed, leather wearing bad boys, read this book!!

If you are looking for a hot and quick read that will keep you turning page after page Club Prive, Book 1, is it. Written in the fashion of a serial story, we are given the first part of the story with book one. In just over a hundred pages M. S. Parker gave us an alluring and tantalizing beginning to this tale.  I found Carrie our lead lady to be your average every day woman trying to make it. She has her head on right, working to achieve a goal to make herself  better.  She also had a little bad girl streak that just made me fall in love with her.  Okay ladies, break out the fans. Gavin is sexy, sexy, sexy! Gavin was a mystery to me I was unable to figure him out. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Always knew the right person and the right thing to say. Something about him I can't put my finger on. However I have to know more about him!

M. S. Parker gave me a read to dive head first into and came out wanting more!! A perfect set up for this series of books!

King of the Unblessed by Michelle Pillow

king

King of the Unblessed
Realm Immortal, Book 1
Audiobook Review
Michelle M. Pillow

Immortality has a way of changing fate.
The choice is simple: go with him or die.
Merrick, dark elfin King of Valdis, had once been heir to all that was good--happiness and pleasure his domain. Now, trapped as the ruler of mischief, king of necessary evil, he stands on a precipice of choice. On one side, his estranged brother, now ruler of what should have been Merrick's, and on the other, King Lucien of the Damned. Both would sway him. Damnation is winning.
Lady Juliana of Bellemare is from a human family, protected by the Blessed, coveted by the Damned. Betrothed to an old friend of her father's, Juliana is resigned to living out her days close to her childhood home, longing for an adventure, never dreaming she'd get what she wished for. When her fiancé is murdered and the children of Bellemare are stolen, Juliana is sent on a quest in a strange realm where appearances are deceiving.
Merrick brings more adventure and passion than any woman could want. Can she withstand the temptations of the Unblessed king? The spell she weaves over him is more than he can resist and, desperate to be the one to rule her, Merrick offers her a choice; either come with him until he tires of her...or die.
Warning: This book contains hot sex, violence, trickster goblins, overly helpful sprights, a king of necessary evil who lives to get his way and a woman who would dare to deny him.
Rating: Contains graphic sexual content, adult language, and violence.

review4 of 5 Stars

Ms. Pillow recreated what I call the adult version of Labyrinth with KING OF THE UNBLESSED! I don’t know how she did it, but she even came up with a sexier “goblin king” than David Bowie! Yes, I believe I blushed more than once.

Lady Juliana of Bellemare, wants nothing more than a grand adventure before she is to be married. When one lives in the land of the Fae, one must be careful of what they wish for. She is a bit naive and does not know the really know what the world hold. As there were times I really wanted to grab a hold of the girl and shake her and say get it together chicka! I truly loved Juliana. She was a woman thinking outside the box and wanted what she wanted. In many ways she did get them!

Merrick, the King of the Unblessed, is dark, sexy and powerful. OMG, the long blond hair, I just wanted to run my finger through it. He is one of those Alpha’s alphas! He wants something and he gets it no matter what. But God, those eyes that make you want to melt. Kings have to do what kings have to do! I so fell in love with him!!

Merrick gave Juliana the adventure she wanted. Along with magic, deception, a bunch of magical creates to guide her along the way and passion beyond what Juliana could have imagined, she unknowing walks right in to the Unblessed Kings waiting hands. Merrick’s own deception turns on him, when he realized Juliana just might be more to him than her though she should be.

I want to start out by saying I am not much of a Historical romance reader. It's not that I don't like that aspect of romance, I have a tendency to get lost in it, but do I love the way they speak. I am however a huge paranormal romance fan. KING OF THE UNBLESSED was a surprisingly exciting read for me. Not only was it paranormal and fantasy together and had this wonderful historical setting that just blew me away. Mega props to Ms. Pillow for this awesome world building in the series. Yes I am a huge fan of world building. Not only is this Merrick and Juliana story, but you can see so many other story lines that could very well be a good book coming in this series!!

I listen to the audio version of this book. I have to be honest I had a little trouble with the narrator. Please do not give me wrong, Ross Pendleton, did an excellent job narrating. I had a hard time getting used his style. Upon the second listen of the book I was very much able to enjoy the wonderful enchanting tale that was told.
If you want to get lost is a fairytale that will heat up the pages as you are turning them, I suggest you go with the KING OF THE UNBLESSED.
