Yasmine Galenorn's Priestess Dreaming Blog Tour

Thanks for joining us for our stop on the PRIESTESS DREAMING blog tour!! Yasmine Galenorn "creates a world I never want to leave", according to Sherrilyn Kenyon... and this is the next adventure in that world. The amount of world building, character development, and GREAT STORYTELLING in the Otherworld series is why it's lasted so long, and why readers keep coming back.

PriestessDreamingBlogTourBanner3

PRIESTESS DREAMING is the 16th book in the series, and D'Artigo sister Camille's 6th book as the main point of view. In the series, the three sisters, Camille, Delilah, and Menolly, are each half fae, half "something else". Camille is a Moon witch, who is, with her sisters and their partners, on continuing adventures to protect her family and friends, both on earth and in Otherworld, from a host of evil.

PriestessDreaming520We're the D'Artigo sisters: savvy half-human, half-Fae operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Delilah is a two-faced werecat and a Death Maiden. Menolly is a vampire married to a gorgeous werepuma. And me? I'm a Moon witch married to three gorgeous husbands, and I'm about to journey through the veils to search for a long lost legend...

With the war in Otherworld raging, the Queen of Shadow and Night summons me to her court. Aeval orders me to embark on a hunt through the mists to find an ancient ally she once knew. I must seek out The Merlin and wake him from his long sleep. But Morgaine and Bran are along for the journey, and the pair pose a threat to both me and my quest. Now, surrounded by danger on all sides, I must pray they are allies rather than enemies, as we undertake a perilous search through the labyrinth of time...

I would definitely recommend reading the previous books in the series first. While each book does have a bit of a recap, there isn't enough information (which would have to be considerable, honestly) to start this far into the story and fully understand all that's going on. So, if you haven't started the series, DEFINITELY pick up WITCHLING and get going!!! I promise, it won't take you as long as you may think to get caught up. (Think marathon... order pizza for the family, and get comfy!!)

One way to start... if you haven't yet... is to WIN a copy of WITCHLING!!!

About Yasmine:

Hi, I'm New York Times, USA TODAY, and Publisher's Weekly bestselling author Yasmine Galenorn. In April 2012, I won a Career Achievement Award in Urban Fantasy at the Romantic Times Convention.

I write urban fantasy/paranormal romance for Berkley: the Otherworld Series, (aka Sisters of the Moon Series), the Indigo Court Series, andyg the upcoming spin-off series in the Otherworld altaverse--the Fly By Night Series.

And yes, I'm a shamanic witch and am considered an elder in the Pagan community, having been in the Craft since February 29th (yes, leap year day), 1980. I walk an eclectic path and consider my life to be a blend of teacups and tattoos--the former in my china closet, the latter on my skin--I'm heavily inked. I collect teacups, teapots, Old Country Roses china (Royal Albert), antlers and skulls (of the non-human variety), daggers and crystals. And of course, my bookshelves are overflowing with books. I cannot walk out of a bookstore without buying at least one book. My TBR pile is huge!

Priestess Dreaming is one hell of a magical adventure with an awesome twist on legend and lore.   The 16th book of the Otherworld series told from Camille’s point of view, has the eldest D’Artigo sister in search for the Merlin, leader of the druids.  This book is Ms. Galenorn at her finest.  Enriched with magic, a new take on an old tale, and the intense passion that shines through Ms. Galenorns writing has made Priestess Dreaming truly stand out in this series to a long time fan.
As all hell breaks loose on Seattle, Camille is put to the task of finding the one magical being lost to time that can help them.  Set out with friend, family and those that could be foes.  Camille is put to the test of facing elements, magical creatures, learning secret and danger, head and behind.  I tell you that something will always have you turning the pages.  Camille has gone through many changes in past books.  In Priestess Dreaming we truly see her shine through in a way we have never seen before.  As a priestess for the moon mother, Camille destinys is in the hands of her Goddess.  One that makes her a strong power woman like no other.

Adventurous, magical, sexy. Yes I got sucked in.This book had a different feel from the previous ones of the Otherworld series whether it was Camille's growth or the mixing in of a legend I love.  I have to say it's by far my favorite book in the series. I will be reading it over and over. Yes that's recommendation. Happy reading.

About Melissa Schroeder:

From an early age, USA Today Bestselling Author Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book.

Since the publication of her first book in 2004, Melissa has had close to fifty romances published. She writes in genres from historical suspense to modern day erotic romance to futuristics and paranormals. Included in those releases is the bestselling Harmless series. In 2011, Melissa branched out into self-publishing with A Little Harmless Submission and the popular military spinoff, Infatuation: A Little Harmless Military Romance. Along the way she has garnered an epic nomination, a multitude of reviewer’s recommended reads, over five Capa nods from TRS, three nominations for AAD Bookies and regularly tops the best seller lists on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Since she spent her childhood as a military brat, Melissa swore never to marry military. But, as we all know, Fate has her way with mortals. She is married to now retired AF major and is raising her own brats, both human and canine. She spends her days giving in to her addiction to Twitter and spends her days thankful for their new home and the short trip to Wegmans.

Excerpt from Logan:

Logan rolled over trying to get comfortable in his bed, but he knew it was useless. His brain wouldn’t shut off. The trip ahead, not to mention his companion, had him antsy. He couldn’t seem to quit thinking about the way she had looked tonight, the way she had smiled at him, and the sound of her voice. He had been truthful when he said that he hadn’t been lured by it. But…now he couldn’t get it out of his head.

He slipped out of bed. After stretching the kinks out of his back, he pulled on a pair of pajama bottoms and a t-shirt, and decided to have some tea and biscuits. As he made his way to the kitchen, he started to make a mental list of places he wanted to visit while they were in Paris. It had been a few years since he’d been there. He knew they were there for the quest, but there was no reason he couldn’t enjoy the art. It would be more convincing for their cover story. He might even take Meg to a place or two.

Thinking back to his last trip, he wondered if they had been there at the same time. The timing was pretty close so they would have to compare notes. There is one thing he knew without a doubt. If they had come into contact with each other, he would have remembered her.

It was hard to ignore Meghan. With the riot of honey brown curls that spilled down her back, those amazing whiskey brown eyes, and the curvy body she showcased proudly, most men took notice. But, there was another quality, something beneath the surface that he could not seem to comprehend. That is, if she wasn’t irritating him.

He shook his head as he stepped into the kitchen.

He was not alone.

Standing at the stove, dressed all in red, was Meg. There was only the light above the stove to light the room.

Logan watched her for a few seconds. She seemed so alone there, so quiet. Even in a silk robe that screamed seduction, there was a quietness about her Logan had never seen before.

He must have moved because she jumped and spilled some of the boiling water on her hand.

“Damn,” she said and dropped the kettle. It crashed against the burner, but he paid no attention to it as he rushed forward.

“Did you get burned?” he asked, as he grabbed her hand.

She tried to wiggle free of his hold. “Well, it was boiling water, so yeah.”

He slipped his hand up to her wrist and tugged her over to the sink. After turning on the cold water, he stuck her hand under it.

“I know how to take care of a burn. I am not an infant.”

He heard the annoyance in her voice, and it rubbed against him the wrong way. He did nothing but come down to the kitchen, and she acted as if he had done something horrible.

“Feel better?” he asked, but he said it from behind clenched teeth.

“Yes.”

Logan noticed she didn’t say thank you. He turned off the water and handed her a towel.

“Mind sharing your water?”

She glanced back over to the pot, then offered him a small smile. “Since you tended my injury, I must be gracious.”

He chuckled. “Were you going to have some tea?”

She nodded. “Mine always sucks though.”

Logan snorted. “American.”

“Yes and proud of it.”

He grabbed some tea and measured it out for two cups.

“But you spend all your time here.”

She sighed. “I have a soft spot for Scotland. And Ireland, oh and Paris.”

The way she said Paris made him think that it made her sad. “But you’ve never been back to Paris since you lived there before.”

“No.”

No other explanation. Of course not. The woman was filled with secrets, but then, he could not accuse her of that. His family was steeped in them.

“Is there any chance that Morin would have people looking for you?”

“No. Well, okay, maybe. I know he keeps someone on the apartment. Last time Rena was there she saw them.”

“And they’re still alive.”

She smiled. “Yes, I told her killing them would only cause me more problems, so she abstained. She was very sad though.”

The half-fae was definitely deadly.

“I know you don’t like me, Logan.”

“I don’t trust you.”

She sighed. “And you don’t trust, which I don’t blame you. You don’t know me.”

Logan didn’t like the sadness in her voice or the way it made him feel. There was something about it that resonated within his soul. He pushed those thoughts aside.

“It doesn’t mean I don’t like you.”

She stilled, then swallowed. When she spoke, she didn’t look at him. “So, you like me?”

Her southern accent deepened. It danced over his nerve endings, sunk into his soul. It did more to him than her singing the night before. Right now, he would fight dragons to the death to make her his.

She shook her head. “Never mind.”

He had been keeping the feelings at bay for weeks. It had taken a lot of his control not to act on the need he had for her. Now, in the dark kitchen, with the silent house around them, he couldn’t resist her. He stepped closer.

“More than is good for me,” he said.

She looked up at him, her mouth half opened. He could smell the spicy scent of her, the one he dreamed about. It lured him unlike anything else before. It was so quiet around them, the peaceful night cloaking them from the rest of the house.

“Then…” she broke off. He held back a groan as he watched her tongue dart out to lick her bottom lip.

“What?” Even he heard the arousal vibrating in his voice.

“Then why do you treat me the way you do? You always look at me as if I disgust you.”

He shook his head. “You doona disgust me. You tempt me when I shouldn’t be tempted. We have no time for being muddle-headed right now.”

“But?”

“Aye, lass, but,” he said, as he slid his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him. She fit him perfectly—too perfectly. “I’m tired of resisting.”

He damned them both as he bent his head and kissed her.

Review-Flight From Hell by Yasmine Galenorn

flighthell_eb.inddFlight From Hell

Yasmine Galenorn

Crossover from the Otherworld Series to Fly By Night Series.
www.galenorn.com

New York Times bestselling author Yasmine Galenorn returns with another thrilling foray into Otherworld—introducing a new cast of heroes alongside the D’Artigo sisters…

When the half-demon Carter approaches Menolly and her sisters desperately asking for their help, they think he's just had a tiff with Shimmer, his blue dragon girlfriend.

But after talking to Alex Radcliffe, the owner of the Fly By Night Magical Investigations Agency where Shimmer works, they suspect that she has been kidnapped by an old enemy of Alex's.
Now, Alex must join forces with the D'Artigo sisters in a desperate race to find Shimmer before Julian, a powerful vampire from Alex's past with a grudge to settle, can use the dragon to wreak havoc on Seattle as revenge.

As a long time fan of the Other World Series and Ms. Galenorn’s work, Flight From Hell is a treat to this reader. I discovers the sisters right before Dragon Wytch released. I have been in love since. Flight from Hell is a cross-over novella that introduces the main cast and general plot for the Fly By Night series. Taking place in the same world as the Other World Series.

review5 STARS

This novella will get your heart pounding as we get to see what the D'Aritgo sisters do best.  Kick some bad guy ass. Menolly, with her sisters Camille and Delilah dive into the disappearance of Shimmer, a dragon that had been ground to earth.

Learning that Shimmer works at the Fly By Night Magical Investigations Agency, the girls do some investigating of their own. Walking into the doors of FBN opens the setting for the new series. Meeting what I believe to be an eclectic but yet what should be very comical group of individuals.  Alex Radcliffe, an Aussie vamp and owner of FBN, I can just hear the accent coming off of him in every line he says. The accent makes him sexy in itself.   Bette, the chain smoking receptionist, I believe she has many many stories she could tell. Ralph, the techie shifter with hots for the dragon. Shimmer, a lone dragon, whose life has been flipped in a major way.

Ms. Galenorn introduces her Fly By Night series with danger, action and awesome characters that make you want hang on tight for the ride.  Everything that I have come to expect from Ms. Galenorn and more. Awesome world building, amazing characters, great plot with surprises lurking around corners.  I love the mix of urban and magical creatures, Ms. Galenorn weaves together truly enchanting her stories.  I am truly eager to see what she has in store for Shimmer, being a female, out of her element and Alex, the vamp with his own set of rules.
This ebook is from my personal library.

review4.5 of 5 stars

As a loyal fan of the Indigo Court series, knowing the end is coming is always bittersweet! You want to know but you don’t want it to end!  What I had pictured in my mind for the way NIGHT’S END would close out this series was far from the mystical and dark tale that Ms. Galenorn has magically woven together.

Cicely, newly crowned Queen of Snow and Ice, is out to finish the war with Myst, Queen of the Indigo court. Looking deep within herself, Cicely finds there is a way to win this war and bring balance back to new forest. Learning that trust as Queen is not the same as trust as a friend.  Everyone I have come to love and hate throughout the Indigo Court series is tested to their core to prove themselves.  Friendships are further deepened or put at an arm length.  Love is lost and memories are made. Sacrifice and loyalty come unexpectedly. Embedded with magic and mayhem, NIGHT’S END is a dark and sexy fairy tale like no other.

NIGHT’S END had a few very unexpected twists that enhanced the depth to story that made me believe this book and series could have ended no other way.  Ms. Galenorn has an amazing talent for world building.  Creating a world taken over by ice and darkness, making you want to play there. Throwing in every kind of paranormal element, expect the unexpected!  NIGHT’S END is a thrilling conclusion to the Indigo Court Series!

NIGHT’S END can be read as a stand alone novel.   Ms. Galenorn has given the reader enough of the back story to know and understand.  However reading the Indigo Court series books 1-4 will truly take NIGHT’S END to a whole new level.  Dark Fae, Vampires, Shifters, Magic Born, Witches and Humans blended together to make an unforgettable tale. Not only do I recommend NIGHT’S END, the Indigo Court series as a whole!

I was given a copy of this book from the author/publisher via netgalley for an honest review!
